What An Incredible Performance!!

“This dynamic 5 piece is captivating audiences everywhere they go!”

The heavenly vocal harmonies and extraordinary instrumentation is crowd pleasing until the very last dance! Nobody sang with more heart than Patsy Cline. Every note was moving, energetic and sincere, just like a performance of The Almost Patsy Cline Band. When you hear this band, you'll be moved to a simpler time, when you could dance the night away without a care.

Consummate musical professionals, handpicked for their incredible talents, the members of The Almost Patsy Cline Band have received widespread critical acclaim. Band members have shared the stage with some of country music's most talented artists.

The Almost Patsy Cline Band has a passion for legendary country music, and they love performing!

A Brief History of the Almost Patsy Cline Band

Lanette Pennell (bassist, songwriter, vocalist) and Vicki Gillespie (actress, keyboard player,
vocalist) formed Almost Patsy Cline in 2002.  Audiences loved the harmonies by Pennell and
Gillespie and frequently requested Patsy Cline songs spawned the band name.  As the band grew, it became apparent that the public was starving for traditional music from legendary artists of the past. Band members Larry Nolen (guitars, vocals), Bryan Kibbe (guitars, vocals) and Rick Reynolds (drums, vocals) offer songs from Bob Wills, Waylon Jennings, Ray Price, Chuck Berry, Elvis and others while Pennell and Gillespie deliver the balance of the female legends.

The Texas Commission on the Arts has placed the Almost Patsy Cline Band on the 2008–2010 Touring Artists and Companies Roster.  The Roster is part of the state grant system that provides funds for the support of the performing arts and a Who’s Who of Texas Acts that tour the state.
Public response to this talented five piece group has been overwhelming in the Hill Country and throughout Texas.  The Almost Patsy Cline Band has a strong sense of community.  In 2003,
Denise Griffin, Mayor of Bandera, declared The Almost Patsy Cline Band the Official City
Goodwill Ambassadors.  2004 brought the Cowboy Capital Award from the Bandera County
Chamber of Commerce, awarded for spreading the brand of The Cowboy Capital of the World.  Gettin’ Older’s Getting’ Easy, the band’s first CD (2004), and the band’s second CD, Love
At First Dance (2005), exceeded all expectations with sales in the thousands.  A third CD,
Almost Patsy, was released in November of 2007.  It is a respectful tribute to the greatest female country singer of all time, Patsy Cline.

The Almost Patsy Cline band continues to perform throughout the state for Texans and visitors
alike.  You may have seen them at Celebrate Bandera, The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo,
The Gillespie County Fair, the 2008 Texas Association of Fairs and Events Showcase in Austin
or at numerous private dance clubs, corporate events and fundraisers.
